Windows ten is designed with tight OneDrive integration. It allows users to synchronize their files beyond various devices and computers. The latest stable version of the native OneDrive client ships with download and upload transfer rate limit options. This means that the service can now slow down other Net activities on the computer when it has assumed the task of transferring files.

The time it takes to upload or download data from OneDrive depends on your Cyberspace connexion speed, how shut you are geographical to Microsoft servers, so on. If yous wish to maximize your speed, you can do the following:

Utilise a wired instead of a wireless connection.
Restrict bandwidth usage for other activities while the upload or download is in progress

On the other hand, if a download or an upload is in progress, OneDrive could finish up using upward all the bandwidth.

But now you can throttle or set the bandwidth limits that OneDrive can use for downloading or uploading files. To ready the limit for uploading and downloading transfer rates via OneDrive on Windows 10, follow these steps:

Locate the OneDrive client icon in the Windows notification area. If you cannot find it there, hit the Win key, type OneDrive, and select the OneDrive desktop application from the results.

At present, right-click on the OneDrive icon and cull the Settings selection from the options listed in the card. And so switch to the Network tab when the settings window opens.

Here, the options to set the Upload rate and Download rate limits individually should be visible to you.

The default setting is Don't limit. For uploading larger files, it is advisable to continue the setting at Don't limit to let OneDrive handle the charge per unit automatically.

But if you wish to set the rates manually, select the Limit to button and set a charge per unit in KBs. Click on OK and go out.

It is important to note that all the changes introduced will be applicable simply to the desktop version of OneDrive app and non the universal app.

NOTE: If yous do not see the Network tab, change your Net connexion and encounter. I could run into the Network tab on my Wi-Fi connexion, only not on my cable broadband.
